Singular Sensation Quilt
Completed: October 2016
Pattern: Singular Sensation by Jessie Zeigler; BH&G Quilts and More Magazine, Spring 2016, page 38.
Quilt Size: 68.5 x 80.5” (72.5 x 84.5” before shrinking)
Block Size: 12” finished square
Fabric: Used a variety of fabric purchased at Weaver's.
Technique: Cut half-square triangles with Sizzix die cutter. Pieced backing fabric. Quilted front to batting in sections using straight-line quilting and quilt-as-you-go technique; attached backing using stitch-in-the-ditch sewing in a step pattern. Hand stitched binding.
Notes: This is the largest quilt I’ve made so far. It was created by making forty two 9-patch blocks and rotating alternate ones to make the quilt pattern. It’s now a twin bedspread in our second floor guest bedroom.
