Give It Your Best Dot Quilt
Completed:  April 2015
Pattern:  Modified "Give It Your Best Dot" quilt pattern by Debby Luttrell; American Patchwork & Quilting magazine, August 2014 Issue 129
Quilt Size:  55 x 64"
Block Size:  9" finished
Fabric: Soho Chic by Sandy Gervais for Moda (dark blue/teal ovals) purchased at Weaver's; Honeycomb Dot by Riley Blake (yellow dot on front; white dot on back) purchased online.
Technique:  Used Quilt Sense Wonder Triangles ruler by Marti Mitchell.  Pieced blocks and glue basted onto batting squares.  Quilted four-block units using quilt-as-you-go method. Sewed units together and covered dark seams with Wonder Under tape and muslin strips to prevent shadowing through light backing fabric.  Attached pieced backing using "stitch-in-the-ditch" technique.  Hand stitched binding.

Tutorial: Using the Wonder Triangle Ruler
Notes: There are no curved pieces in this quilt and yet the triangle-in-a-square blocks create a curved illusion

CARE - 100% cotton fabric; machine wash and tumble dry. All Thread Projects quilts are pre-washed in cold water and pre-shrunk in a hot dryer before gifting.
